She Moves Me - '8
She Moves Me was shot on 16mm film using analogue double exposure and written during a period of seismic activity. In this site-specific work, queer identity moves beyond binaries, dissolving boundaries and unfolding outside linear time. Seismic tremors and fragmented memories unsettle the boundaries of the self, giving rise to a fluid, queer presence and a sense of timeless connection.
"Through She Moves Me, I channel the energy of earthquakes to explore queer identity and self-acceptance. Developed during my six-month residency at CASA SNOWAPPLE in Mexico City, in collaboration with a predominantly queer and female team, the work invites movement, transformation, and resonance. It amplifies voices that challenge boundaries and imagine a more inclusive world."
