She Moves Me

In SHE MOVES ME, we follow the Lucid in her chaotic world where she is disrupted by a seismic alarm. Waiting outside her home with a stranger named Maite, Lucid begins to delve into a different state of consciousness and struggles with her memories. Forcing her to face a new reality. The stranger seems not to be a stranger, Maite is from Lucid’s past. As fear turns to desire, Lucid must accept that Maite was the one who shaked up her world.

Artist statement

With this work I want to create awareness and promote inclusivity through surreal subversive story. It's my personal journey to self-acceptance and tribute to queerpeople. Inspired by earthquakes, I want to express that we as individuals are also in motion. The film celebrates the power of being yourself and emphasizes the importance of a safe environment for self- discovery. My goal is to make not only my story, but also the voices of other women and queers heard and contribute to a world without judgment. The SHE MOVES ME-team consist of 90% queer or female members. This work I developed in 2023 and 2024 at CASA SNOWAPPLE in Mexico City, where I was invited to live there and create new art.
